From June 1990 (when Disney Comics took over the Disney license from Gladstone) till July 1993 (when Gladstone got the license back) a total number of 38 issues were published of "Donald Duck Adventures". Gladstone had a series with the same name and so did Gemstone. Each comic was filled with a large variety of Donald Duck stories. It contained stories by Carl Barks, Don Rosa, William Van Horn and others from Egmont in Denmark. Each issue contained one page "Destination: Duckburg" with letters from readers and the credits for the cover and each story.
